  The ladies at the counter were very nice. I was surprised to learn that because my pet was on the larger size, the cost would be considerably higher. The ‘suite’ (cage) didn’t look large enough to accommodate the length of my pet, although I was assured he would be fine. I would provide my own pet food, however, this didn’t lower the price. Worried I wouldn’t find availability elsewhere, I gave Sunshine a $130 deposit.
  
  Going to the car, I remembered a pet sitter from yrs ago and phoned her enroute to home. I was fortunate to find her available and the price was half the cost. She would come to my house so my pet wouldn’t be confined to a cage!
  Within 15 minutes of leaving Sunshine, I phoned them to kindly cancel my reservation. The young lady on the phone was very polite, she said, not a problem. I asked her if she needed my credit card number to refund the deposit, she asked me to wait while she checked with the office manager.
  Apparently, the office manager was unhappy with me... I was told I had to return in person with my card before the end of the day (LESS THAN 1 HOUR) or I wouldn’t receive my deposit.
  
  As a business owner myself, I found the manager’s treatment unprofessional.
  Originally, I had planned to have our pets records moved to Sunshine since it’s so close to our home. Now as a result of the office manager’s poor decision, I will never board, nor use a veterinarian at this clinic, I will stay with my current veterinarian and staff at Harbor City where we always been treated with respect.

  I have been taking both my pets here for years and am always pleased with the service and care that we receive!
