    My appointment with Dr. Imami was on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 for a breast biopsy consultation. Dr. Imami was very professional and considerate. After the appointment I stopped at the front desk to "check out" and a gentleman told me that I would be contacted by the person that schedules the biopsies. I waited for the call but when it didn't come by Tuesday, June 11, 2013 I called the office. The receptionist told me I would have to speak with the scheduler and transferred my call to her. I gave the scheduler my information after letting her know how disappointed I was that no one contacted me a day and time for the procedure. I was put on hold several times for several minutes each time giving me the impression that the scheduler was clueless. When she finally took me off hold the last time she apologized for how long it was taking, asked for my cell phone number, and promised to call me back within 24 hours. So I wait for her call which never came and on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 I call the scheduler to find out what happened. Much to my surprise and dismay she had no idea who I was or why I was calling and needed my information AGAIN! Really?! So now I can only surmise that I was never going to receive a return call from the scheduler because she lost/misplaced the details from my June 11th call?!!! Let's pretend I didn't call on June 11th to find out why the scheduler hadn't scheduled my biopsy yet and now it is June 18th and I am still waiting to be "scheduled" for a biopsy from my June 5th appointment! If this is how this office treats their patients I don't want any part of it. Upset with how my case was handled (or more appropriately, NOT handled), I called to speak with the Office Manager on Tuesday, June 18th. I left a voice message (extension 110) requesting to speak with her about a scheduling issue and to please call me back by the end of the day (message was left at 11AM). The end of day came and went....no call from the office manager. I left two more messages and still no call as of 3PM June 19th. Obviously no urgency on her part to return my calls. TEPAS Healthcare's website gloats about providing "quality patient care, which is physician-directed, patient-centered, and to work to preserve access to timely & appropriate surgical care to the community it serves." I am here to report first hand that this is not true. I did not receive quality patient care because no one in the office cared enough to actually schedule my biopsy. If TEPAS Healthcare was "patient-centered", I would not have been forgotten about AND phone calls would have been returned. I am still waiting for the "timely surgical care" but I am not holding my breath. Would I recommend TEPAS Healthcare to a friend or family? Absolutely not. Would I return to TEPAS Helthcare? Definitely NO.
